Tuscania was an Etruscan town, previously known as Toscanella. On reaching this town, If you wish to visit the Church of St Peter in Tuscania the tour duration may be extended to 4 and a half hours. This is a remarkable example of Romanesque art of the 12th - 13th century, the crypt of this church is also famous for many film locations.
After your short break for leisure time you will continue on to Lake Bolsena, the largest volcanic lake in Europe. Many a photo opportunity to be had here! Moving on to Marta, a quaint fisherman's village, you will have plenty of free time to take photographs and take in the beautiful scenery before heading back to the port of Civitavecchia.
