You will be met at the port by a Cruising Excursions representative ready to start your tour.
Stockholm is widely acknowledged as one of the world’s most beautiful cities and is often called the ‘Venice of the North’. The city enjoys a magnificent natural location. It's built on 14 islands, connected to each other and to the mainland by 57 bridges; a city with Lake Mälaren on the one side and on the other, the Baltic Sea and the Stockholm Archipelago stretch out far into the distance.
On this highlight tour of Stockholm, you'll see the medieval Old Town, The Royal Palace, Parliament Building, Nationalmuseum, the modern city centre and The Royal Dramatic Theatre, and you'll also stop to admire the ‘Beauty on Water’.
The tour will also take you to Royal Djurgården, the world’s first ‘National City Park’. Here, you'll visit the Vasa Museum (entrance included) which displays the famous warship of the same name, decorated with more than 700 sculptures which were once brightly coloured and gilded. The Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and spent three centuries at the bottom of the Baltic Sea until she was found and raised.
Your tour guide will make sure that you are back at the port in time for the departure of your cruise ship.
Time spent in the VASA Museum will be approx 60 mins
