Be wowed as you arrive at the Kawiti family property and set your sights on the breath taking rock formations and the lush green rainforest. The caves are made up of incredible rock formations, which are spectacular. The cave is 200m long and 20m tall at its highest point. This hidden gem is non-commercial experience and family friendly.
The staff are very knowledgeable and will give you a lentern lit, educational tour, explaining the myths and legends and all you need to know about glow worms. These glow worms create a galaxy like feel when all lit up and the small stream which flows through the cave, is home to a pet eel, which can be stroked!
Enjoy your 40 minute guided tour with on of the family members as you follow the wooden boardwalk through the limestone cave system. You will see thousands of Glow Worms and networks of stalactites and stalagmites as we share one of New Zealand's natural wonders.
