This half day tour will begin with a scenic drive past the lighthouse & the impressive parliament building, known as 'The Red House'. Built in the style of Beaux-Arts at the turn of the 20th century, this red building is used for elections and parliament meetings. See the famous 'Magnificent Seven' row of mansions. Constructed at the beginning of the 20th Century, these houses are considered important due to their many styles of architecture, including Scottish, Indian & French.
Your journey will take you around the 'Savannah'. Surrounded by a ring of trees, the Queens Square Havannah park is a large open space, previously used for cattle grazing, an airstrip, and horse racing. In modern times, the Grand Stand at the south side is used for a number of carnivals and events. you will head to the north of the park and visit the Botanical Gardens to see the many tropical flowers and exotic trees.
Continuing your tour you will take a short drive to arrive at 'Lady Young' Lookout, where you have a brief photo stop to see the panoramic views of the port of Spain. A 20 minute drive will then take you through the Santa Cruz Valley, and show you the many coffee & cocoa plantations, before arriving at Maracas.
You will have the opportunity to stop at well known Maracas Beach, before taking a short stop at the Lookout for those stunning photos of the bay.
At the end of your tour you will returned back to the port in plenty of time for your ships departure.
