Marvel at the Snæfellsjökull glacier. The mountain is one of the most renowned sites of Iceland, owing some of its fame to Jules Verne’s A Journey to the Center of the Earth, in which the mountain features. On a sunny day the mystical Snaesfellsjokull glacier appears crystal-like and baby-blue on the Western horizon.

Ride the open top bus tour to the National Gallery of Iceland and view ongoing exhibitions showcasing cubist, abstract and figurative works. Peruse the gallery shop where you can purchase artworks and souvenirs. Visit Laugardalar (Hot Spring Valley), the major centre for sports and home to the largest outdoor thermal pool in Reykjavik.

Tiptoe over frozen ground before sinking into the warm waters. Say hello to reindeer, horses, foxes and seals at The Family Park and Zoo. Summer months offer a play area and fair ground rides for the whole family to enjoy.

For sports enthusiasts, the city’s main sports stadium is located in Laugardalur valley. Nearby is the Laugardalsholl arena, a multi-purpose venue which presents sports events, live music, exhibitions and was host to the famous 1972 World Chess Championships.

Admire The Pearl, a landmark building with a grand hemispherical top, and browse the shops on the fourth floor. Dine in the revolving restaurant and cocktail bar which completes a full turn in two hours and offers sweeping views of Reykjavik. Hop off at The Hallgrímskirkja, the fourth tallest architectural structure in Iceland. This impressive building is visible throughout the city.

Admire the grand pipe organ with its 5275 pipes and take in spectacular views of the city and surrounding mountains from the tower. Shopaholics will delight in Kringlan Shopping Centre with its 150 shops and restaurants. Spend the evening at the multi-screened cinema or theatre which are in the vicinity. However you choose to spend your time in Reykjavik, let City Sightseeing help make discovering the city an exciting and pleasurable experience.

Your pick up point will be Stop 12 Skarfabakki Harbour, which is approximately a 70 meter walk from the port.

An administration charge has been applied to the total price of this tour.
